The Objectives of the Society
The Objectives of the Society are:
To promote Occupational Health and to advance the knowledge, practice and standing of Occupational Medicine of those registered medical practitioners who practise or who have an interest in Occupational Medicine.
To provide a focal point for those registered medical practitioners working or interested in Occupational Medicine.
What's in it for Me?
Most doctors are managing patients with work-related illness or health problems which have an impact on their ability to work
ANZSOM provides opportunity for networking and the exchange of information and ideas on work-related health matters.
What Costs are Involved?
The Branch Councils meet regularly to organise local activities in each of the Branches.
Each Branch in turn then hosts an annual three day Annual Scientific Meeting on behalf of the Federal Council which allows even wider professional interaction. The current annual subscription of $220.00 incl. GST helps to subsidise all scientific meetings and to cover costs of communications and administrative overheads.
Sponsorship is also often sought for meetings to minimise additional costs to members.
