iCare Dust Diseases Care: Scholarships and fellowships program - call for applicants
iCare Dust Diseases Care, also known as the Dust Diseases Authority (DDA), provides financial compensation and support to people who have a NSW work-related dust disease, and their dependants. Along with compensation, we also fund ongoing assistance to support quality of life. This can include mobility aids, personal care, medication and treatment from health professionals, as well as general assistance such as domestic support and respite care for families.
Through funding research into the causes, mechanism, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of dust diseases, icare dust diseases care aims to reduce the risk of people developing a dust disease and to optimise health and care outcomes for people with a dust disease and their families. The icare dust diseases care research strategy supports building research capacity in dust diseases relevant fields and offers funding for scholarships and fellowships.
We now invite applications for funding for PhD Scholarships, Postdoctoral and Clinical Fellowships for a maximum period of three years. Information for applicants is available for download from the icare website at www.icare.nsw.gov.au/ddc
The closing date for applications is 5.00pm on Friday, 21 July 2017.
