ANZSOM ASM2024 - That's a wrap!

Thank you to everyone who participated in our Annual Scientific Meeting this week in Perth. It was a great success with over 190 delegates, 50 speakers, 15 exhibitors, and over 50 virtual delegates joining us from near and far!
A special thanks to our many sponsors and supporters, especially Sonic HealthPlus, our Major Sponsor, and AFOEM, our Program Partner. We also appreciate the hard work of conference convenor Dr Miguel Kabilio and his Organising Committee, who dedicated themselves to making this event such a success.
The program featured a diverse lineup of speakers who delved into our conference theme “Innovate, Integrate, Inspire: Navigating the future of occupational medicine”. Dr Peter Connaughton delivered the Hugh Denehy Oration, which was both inspiring and thought-provoking.
Congratulations to Dr Bruce Hocking, the recipient of the ANZSOM President’s Award, and to Dr Sophie Pointer from ISCRR, who won the David Goddard Best Paper Award for her presentation on Spinal cord stimulators: Putting the ‘evidence’ into evidence-based practice.
We look forward to seeing you all next year at our ASM2025 in Melbourne from 19-22 October 2025 – we can’t wait to see you there!
