Full time VR GP (Sonic HealthPlus Newman WA)
Sonic HealthPlus has permanent and FIFO opportunities available for VR GPs to join our Newman Clinic. As the largest town in the East Pilbara, Newman is a popular mining community that continues to grow. You will join a friendly and focused multi-disciplinary team to provide medical services to miners and their families.
DPA replacement provision available - IMGs encouraged to apply.
You will be provided with:
- Flights from Western Australia, accommodation & car
- Two week on and two week off rotation
- Attractive percentage / day rate
- A friendly and focused multi-disciplinary team
- Support from operations, administration, property and IT teams
This role will provide exposure to all aspects of general practice and occupational health medicine, including:
- General practice and accident /emergency medicine
- Hospital on call roster/afterhours patient management
- Occupational Health medical assessments
- Acute injury treatment and management
- Family Medicine
- Men's & Women's health
- Travel medicine
- Skin screening
- Chronic Disease Management
- Immunisations
- Specialised medicals
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Full Registration with AHPRA
- Eligibility to access Medicare
- Postgraduate training and experience in general practice
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Recent work experience in trauma / accident and emergency
- Eligibility for credentialing with WACHS
- A caring and quality driven commitment to providing general practitioner health services
- Professional Indemnity Insurance
You will require certifications in the following:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent;
- Advanced Life/Cardiac Support (ALS or ACLS) or equivalent;
- Early Management of Severe Trauma (EMST) or Advanced Trauma Life support (ATLS) or equivalent;
- Working With Children Card
- National Police Clearance
